Bangladesh Glaucoma Society has been established to facilitate contact between Glaucoma Specialists in all over the country , to encourage research and service projects, spreading knowledge and skill in this rapidly advancing field, assist comprehensive ophthalmologist to be up to date with advancement in all aspects of glaucoma diagnosis and management.

Glaucoma is one of the major cause of blindness in Bangladesh . The vision of Bangladesh Glaucoma Society is to promote the best possible well being and minimal glaucoma induced visual disability in individuals within an affordable health care system.

Objectives

The main objectives of our society are-

To prevent blindness due to glaucoma
Public Awareness and Recognition of Glaucoma : To increase Public awareness and recognition of glaucoma.
Prevention : To prevent blindness due to glaucoma.
Treatment : To improve treatment of glaucoma.
Research : To do research on glaucoma.
Education : To increase the understanding of such diseases in the Ophthalmologist and Health care providers.
Knowledge: To participate in the national & international seminars & conferences on glaucoma. To arrange seminars, symposium & Annual National conferences on updates of glaucoma.
